Charles Thiel’s passion for helping others dates back many years, supporting various organizations such as Shepherd’s Gate Women’s Shelter and Tri Valley Homeless and Domestic Violence Shelters in Livermore California, World Vision, Children International, and Bay Area Rescue Mission. Since 2006 he has done mission work in Mexico, including Corazón house-build projects (www.corazon.org) in Tijuana, and several projects in the hills above Ensenada Mexico in a very poor community called Fraccionamiento Popular Emiliano Zapata. These latter projects in Ensenada are joint efforts in collaboration with Valley Community Church of Pleasanton California, and the Mexican community’s local church La Gran Comisión Iglesia.
Mr. Thiel has a Bachelor of Science Degree, Electronic Engineering, from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, CA. He also attended Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA, where he did his postgraduate studies in Engineering.
Mary Jo Thiel has similar passions for helping others, supporting organizations such as World Vision, the Beth Moore Ministries, and Compassion International. She currently leads a local Mom’s in Touch Group and in the past has served as Prayer Lead for a local Brentwood Church, and Prayer and Encouragement Chair for Mom’s In Touch, Northern California State Team.
Mrs. Thiel has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Journalism, from Sacramento State University, Sacramento CA, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California.
